Dameon Welch-Abernathy (1 articles)
In my day job, I write and edit material for a customer support website. I've written two books on a network security product and blog daily on many different subjects, including mobile technology, gadgets, and VoIP. My primary goal in my writing is to make sense of these and other complex topics. I live in Gig Harbor, WA, USA with my wife and two beautiful children. They keep me grounded and focused on the important things in life, even if I spend way too much time blogging! Contact me directly at: dwelch AT phoneboy DOT com

Ruth Schaffer (1 articles)
My name is Ruth Schaffer and I'll be keeping you updated on the latest news and developments in Biotechnology, Allergies and Pregnancy. I have a Master's Degree in Microbiology and previously been been teaching at the University of the Philippines. I also spent more than five years at the International Rice Research Institute, working on paddy soil microbiology and biochemistry, followed by a brief stint in a university in Germany working on iron-reducing bacteria from marine sediments. Currently, I am a freelance writer and copy-editor for scientific manuscripts, based in Singapore, one of top centers for life science research in Southeast Asia.
Although I am a scientist by training, I am a work-at-home mom to a precocious 5 yr-old (plus one in the oven!), and an editor of a webzine. I also keep a blog about functional foods and Asia travel.

Andrew Garrett (147 articles)
Good morning/afternoon/evening, and welcome.
I'm Andrew Garrett, and I'll be your host on this site.
By day, I'm a moderately mild-mannered (most of the time), sysadmin/infrastructure architect.
By evening/weekend, I'm a weblogger, I'm a photographer, I'm a gamer, sometimes I'm a coder, a martial artist, an entrepreneur, and a general technology enthusiast.
I live in New Zealand - so posts might appear at times that look strange to you folk in the rest of the world.
Most of my weblogging time goes on the two sites I run for Creative Weblogging - Digital Shot which is about Digital Photography, and On Storage which focuses on the enterprise storage systems technologies and market. I also intermittantly maintain my Scroll of Emptiness, which is my personal weblog.
So please, enjoy whichever of these sites you've stumbled upon, and feel free to get in touch if you have any suggestions, comments, critiques or questions.
