Your Virtual Image
On the train this past week, there was an incident involving a man and a Disposable camera. He kept taking photos of the young women sitting across from me. When the porters confiscated his camera and gave him a talking to, he said he was a photojournalist who had every right to take pictures of people. However, the equipment he had spoke volumes. There he was, snapping "Smithsonian Magazine" shots with a store-brand disposable camera. Right.

So what's your virtual storage solution saying about you? Are you a true virtual convert, or are you dabbling and scaring people in the process? While what your doing may not cause people to confiscate your equipment, it could cause more than a few uneasy stares and questions.

Luckily, PC Connection has put together a guide on how Virtualizing server I/O can help IT managers address the escalating costs of managing a large pool of servers in their organizations and minimize the necessary "touch points" for server and network administrators to add, move, and replace servers. Users can quickly and easily move resources to meet changing needs in their infrastructures, such as stopping bottlenecks or scaling to accommodate a spike in demand.
