WD - My Book offers desktop RAID
If you are realy concerned about your data, and you should be, you can start to get excited as WD has put out a 1TB and 2TB desktop storage unitslinks that work in mirrrored or striped RAID configurations. Also included is automatic data backup software, and user servicability.

This device also uses WD's GreenPower technology that enables the drives to operate and use one-third less power than a normal dual-drive external storage system.
