Just a small timeline, dates varry depending on introduction/specification, to show that it has been over 8 years since a new USB standard has been released.

But! The good news is that Intel just released a draft of USB 3.0 specification that will/should/might/justwatch to see if a new release will occur.

I'm ready for a 10-fold increase in bandwidth. How about you? Yes, I thought so. Look for products in 2009 or 2010.
