Technology's Not For Wimps
Filed in archive News on January 7, 2008
Let's face it - if you have employees, you need a mobile strategy. That's because all those PDAs, iPhones and laptops are leaving the safety of your home office where they are vulnerable to nearly any affliction that can travel back to your servers. That's the no-brainer. The solution - it's also a no-brainer. But isn't the simple stuff the easiest to overlook? Oh, and if you think you're alone in not having one, think again. Less than 25 percent of companies have an active plan in place. That's one big exposure.
Enter an article in eWeek last week by one Jack Gold, president and founder of J. Gold Associates. In it, Jack explains the steps we all need to take in order to build a mobile strategy. In my opinion, Jack gives you the "duh" stuff, but I'm willing to bet, as I suspect he is, that the "duh" hasn't quite reached you. For that reason, it's a brilliant article and one you should read and practice today. Go to the eWeek web site to view the article.
