Storage Award
Looking for systems implementation solutions that deliver? How about one that wins awards? Quantum Corporation, a San Diego-based backup, recovery and archive specialist, has announced that its customer, European-based CERN, has won the prestigious "Best Practices in Storage" award for systems implementation. CERN, a nuclear research organization, received the ComputerWorld award for its innovative use of Quantum's StorNext software, allowing CERN to accelerate its research and discovery processes.

Quantum met CERN's needs, which were to deliver maximum aggregate bandwidth performance, a minimal hardware footprint, the ability to manage up to 100 user nodes, and independence between the CFS and the underlying hardware.
