SpiderOak to the rescue for Linup users

Filed in archive News by James Koopmann on August 14, 2008

Have you ever felt like you've been pushed out with the garbage?

Well, the some 2,000 abandoned Linkup users will be able to sign up with spideroak.com for free 10GB of storage for a year.

Now I'm not privy to what happened over at Linkup, I really try and stay away from free online storage providers, but it seems that SpiderOak is a paid service (why else would it be free for 2,000 only) and this might be something to look into for ex-Linkup users.

Personally I think that paid offline storage is a good idea, just don't get caught in the still vol ital mix of free-paid-may-not-be-around-tomorrow scams.
