Power Shortage?

Does your data storage plan include a plan for more power? No? That may turn into the problem you didn't expect as your system grows and new equipment is added. According to a white paper published by American Power Conversion (APC), there are options that data centers need to consider now in order to make for smoother transitions in the future. APC has a series of white papers that address Power supply issues and the lack of preparedness in making sure adequate power is available as the data center changes and expands. In fact, one paper suggests that data center power supply planning hasn't changed since the mid 1980s.
