If you're looking for something a bit more comprehensive for home, or some sort of external storage for a small satellite office, this review of 8 trabyte storage devices (mix of Direct Attached and Network Attached Storage devices) sounds to me like a great place to start your research.
Me, I'm cheap (for home), I'm just adding a raid card and some SATA 300 gig disks. Oh, for a decent budget for toys at home...
