You (and I) need to stay on top of this one! I think it is a great "idea" but wonder if the big boys will play with the open source community. Others on the net have commented that it was a bold or last ditch effort by Sun to do something in the storage community. I personally can't see many of the feature sets that are deeply ingrained in storage makers selling out to Sun so they can give it to the Open Source community. Sure there will probably be some fall-out of features but when you get down to the nuts, bolts, and relationships between storage vendors and SAP, Oracle, and the like, you aren't going to see anyone inviting the Open Source community into the design room. There is just too much hype that can be generated around a feature to just give it to everyone.

I'll personally be spending some time going through the website, blogs, and Wiki. And yes, I will be posting here. So if you want to get the low-down in a brief format, just visit every day till you see me change topics.
