Norton Online Backup 2.0 Adds Mac Support
Filed in archive Online on December 13, 2009
Symantec this week released version 2.0 of Norton Online Backup, which adds Mac support to the solution along with a range of other improvements.
"It can back up files even when they’re open and in use (a pretty basic feature that the previous iteration lacked) and it now keeps 90 days’ worth of old files so that you can roll back to a previous version if need be," writes Technologizer's Harry McCracken. "You can now search for those old files as well as browse for them, can restore them to the original computer or any other system, and send them by e-mail."
"Pricing for Norton Online Backup is $49.99 per year for 25GB of storage available to five separate computers -- Mac and Windows machines can be used in [one] account," writes PC Mag's Michael Muchmore. "Add-on storage is available at extra cost, and a 30-day free trial with 5GB of storage lets users test the service."
