This announcement came on the heels of IBM's announcement of its new client data management system solution for financial institutions. The official company word: "The CDM solution allows financial institutions to consolidate their client data, which may be located in multiple systems and data centers around the world, to be centrally managed, stored, cleansed, normalized, governed, validated, analyzed and distributed to enable the globally integrated enterprise by creating a single view of client data while protecting customers' privacy. The master copy of client data can then be shared across all client-related applications."
Today, IBM announced creation of a digital newsroom for FOX Business Network. As quoted in a TradingMarkets.com report, "IBM said it provided an agile, cost effective and operationally efficient approach, with the digital production management
system covering news collection, production, distribution and archiving for business news programmes. The system allows FOX Business Network to acquire content centrally and share it across the business newsroom quickly; edit stories and disseminate them to multiple business news destinations promptly; gain faster, more frequent access to video archives; deliver on-air broadcasts supporting automated and manual playout mechanisms; and distribute digital content to other channels such as mobile devices or the web."Permalink: News from IBM
