Decho Corporation, creator of Mozy, has announced a strategic partnership with China Telecom to deliver cloud-based services in China. The partnership's first offering is the eYun service, based on Mozy - eYun means eCloud in Chinese.

"China Telecom isn't the first broadband provider to offer online backup services; Verizon and Comcast released similar offerings earlier this year," according to Zikkir. "But they typically carry a higher price tag than those from pure-play online backup companies like Mozy and Carbonite."

"China is now the largest Internet market in the world," says Decho CEO Harel Kodesh. "We're delighted to partner with China Telecom, the largest broadband provider in China, to deliver a world-class online backup service to the Chinese market through eYun."
