Disaster Recovery Testing Risks
Filed in archive Planning/Strategy on July 10, 2007
Here's a scary thought - that disaster recovery plan you've so carefully hashed out and constructed may actually be putting you in more danger than if you had nothing. Why? Because of disaster recovery testing procedures. As companies use data recovery testing in peer-to-peer implementation, they're often breaking the data replication process, which could lead to a host of problems, including noncompliance and delays in data recovery.
Jim O'Connor, director of product marketing for Bus-Tech, has written an excellent article on this topic. You can access it at the Data Storage Connection web site.
