Decho Corporation recently announced the general availability of MozyPro for Mac.
For desktops and notebooks, MozyPro costs $3.95 per license plus 50 cents per GB per month. For servers, the service costs $6.95 per license plus 50 cents per GB per month.
And that can get pricey. "Some quick math: my MacBook Pro has used 129 GB of data, out of its 200 GB hard drive - that doesn't include my iTunes library, which lives on another machine," writes bMighty's Alan Zeichick. "For just my MBP, the MozyPro bill would be $3.95 (for the laptop) + $64.50 (for the data) = $68.45/month, or $821.40/year. Multiply that by the number of Macs in your business to get an idea of the total cost. For a business, that may be an acceptable price to have an off-site data backup service. However, the cost is significant enough that it's worth paying attention to."
