If you're looking for an architecture that can respond to just about any existing data structure, you might want to check out Brocade's latest announcement.
The Brocade Data Center Fabric (DCF) architecture adapts to the dynamics of virtualized servers and storage, and accommodates expanding application workloads and growing data needs.
Some of the specs:
- policy-based application-driven architecture
- simplified, optimized technologies
- investment protection through seamless incorporation into new architecture

Check it out at the Brocade web site.
