Britain - The Internet Police

Filed in archive Legal/Legislation by James Koopmann on August 16, 2008

Do we want government to watch us while we troll the internet? Do we want government to capture, store, and evaluate our chat, email, and browsing sessions? Do we want police, government, and sudo-government agencies to view this information?

Regardless, if you live in the UK this is a reality. And if you've watched or read the news, it is becoming a reality in the U.S. as well. Will it stop your's or mine Internet habits? Probably not. Well maybe I'll be a little more cautious about who I begin a conversation with.

No talk of architecture or storage requirements. But that would probably show and open the potential for some organization or group of people to steal this information. It will be quite valuable.
