Are Blades For You?
Are blade systems ready for Enterprise storagelinks workloads? A new report by Hitachi says that blade systems can increase compute density and bring space-savings to the data center. The facts: blade systems bring more power into less space than the traditional rack server. They can also run wider arrays of applications at the edge of the Web tier - not just the application tier. Proponents of blade storage believe these systems can reduce the cost of the IT infrastructure.
