Are Blades For You?
Are blade systems ready for Enterprise storagelinks workloads? A new report by Hitachi says that blade systems can increase compute density and bring space-savings to the data center. The facts: blade systems bring more power into less space than the traditional rack server. They can also run wider arrays of applications at the edge of the Web tier - not just the application tier. Proponents of blade storage believe these systems can reduce the cost of the IT infrastructure.

Read the white paper here. The paper is slanted toward the Hitachi brand, but the information on blade systems in general is worth a look.
