Adaptec adds Opteron-based NAS | InfoWorld | News | 2006-02-21 | By Shelley Solheim, IDG News Service:


"The new 1U (1.75-inch) Snap Servers are Adapteclinks's first powered by Advanced Micro Devices Inc.'s Opteron 64-bit processor and that can use either SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) or SATA (Serial ATA) drives"


Nothing particularly earth shattering here, but it's useful to keep an eye on what's going on in the market.
