If Google starts to offer free, unlimited storage, things could get very interesting.
I don't know how I'd feel about using that – I know I wouldn't like putting anything commercially sensitive up there, despite the fact that I use gmail for my personal email.
What I do find very interesting overall, is Google challenging Microsoft – not head on, but by changing the fundamental nature of the playing field.
Very interesting.
Anyhow, just to bring this back on topic – you have to wonder what Google's back end storage systems for this are going to look like…
