Google: A giant hard disk in the sky? | Computerworld Blogs:

If Google starts to offer free, unlimited storagelinks, things could get very interesting.

I don't know how I'd feel about using that - I know I wouldn't like putting anything commercially sensitive up there, despite the fact that I use gmail for my personal email.

What I do find very interesting overall, is Google challenging Microsoft - not head on, but by changing the fundamental nature of the playing field.

Very interesting.

Anyhow, just to bring this back on topic - you have to wonder what Google's back end storage systems for this are going to look like...
